There have been four generations of the 7 Series: BMW E23 (1977–1986), BMW E32 (1987–1994), BMW E38 (1995–2001), BMW E65 / E66 (2002–present). The BMW 7 series will undergo its next redesign and facelift in 2008 with the new model going on sale in early 2009. This will be the only luxury vehicle in the world to offer petrol, diesel, hybrid and now a hydrogen powertrain. Prototypes are reportedly equipped with new, twin-turbo V8 engines producing 500 BHP. The 7 Series is the biggest car out of all the BMW's. It's a high standard luxury saloon that is popular due to its appealing design and supreme comfort. The 7 Series is not as popular as the smaller 3 and 5 Series cars, but that isn't because it's lacking in any way. It has everything a driver could want; luxury, comfort, style, class, power and elegance. It is slightly more expensive than the other cars, but bargains can still be picked up from your local BMW dealer, or on websites like Autotrader and Gumtree. Like most BMW's, they are generally well looked after and cherished, however when buying any used cars be sure to check the service history and do your research before you view the car. These cars can go on forever but obviously require looking after, any neglect will eventually sneak through. |
