| The BMW X3, also referred to using the special code names is known as the E83 (2004-2010), and later model known as F25. The X3 is the smaller version of the X5, and was released after the X5, being the second 4x4 / SUV to be marketed by BMW. The X5 (E53) was built around the E39 5 Series, and the X3 was built around the E46 3 Series. The F25 version is scheduled for 2011, and will be a bigger version, more like the X5. Contact your local BMW dealer for more information on the BMW F25 X3 for prices and ordering availability. In 2007 a face lift was given to the X3, including an X-drive update, suspension adjustments, an engine upgrade, and aesthetics inside and out; after initial complaints upon release of the X3, BMW have refined the vehicle making it an all round success, with increasing sales and a healthy used car demand. In 2005 BMW sold 20 percent more X3's than in 2004, making sales of 110,700 vehicles. |
